Okay – by regular standards – it wasn’t really all that great. But I got to go out – so just being in the woods with all the beautiful birds and bright green ferns – it was great. Spent this time around the Dahlgren Campground which is just a few yards south of Alt Rt 40 in Maryland. Cute/quaint area. It is pretty highly trafficked all around that area, but it was still a gorgeous morning to hit the trail. Looking forward to many more mornings on the trail.

I too had a great hike this week along a stretch of the AT in Georgia. Awesome weather and great people. Some unknown angels left food, another gave me a ride. This made me wish i had a way to say thank you on a public site…a token of apprerciation. I found this site as I searched for “trail angels”. Did not see any listing of angels here and have not found one elsewhere. Is there such a list…a place to identify people willing to assist hikers? Or a place to say thanks?
