Great little website: http://www.wildernessawareness.org/
Wish that I could be out there doing the 9 month wilderness stuff – that would be amazing, intense and definitely fulfill many of my “rite-of-passage” internal needs.
I don’t see it happening any time soon, so maybe I can just learn it in pieces, at my own pace.

Let me know if you have any trouble with the new ChromeFrame that I installed in this blog. I kinda like the idea of using Chrome inside IE. If it causes people trouble – of course let me know right away so I can remove it. I’m not married to this idea or Google but I do like the idea of the webpage loading faster.

Also – I am adding the cool wptouch plugin so that we can publish this blog nicely on the iphone. Let me know if you have any trouble with that too.

Looks like we are going to get to hike from Keys Gap all the way up to Weverton Campsites. Its only about 11 or so miles, with a few elevation changes but we figure this is our best way to get back into hiking up here. We’ll update more as we get closer.

Okay – by regular standards – it wasn’t really all that great. But I got to go out – so just being in the woods with all the beautiful birds and bright green ferns – it was great. Spent this time around the Dahlgren Campground which is just a few yards south of Alt Rt 40 in Maryland. Cute/quaint area. It is pretty highly trafficked all around that area, but it was still a gorgeous morning to hit the trail. Looking forward to many more mornings on the trail.
